VINTAGE LOST WAX BRONZE HEAD STUDY OF A SMOOTH FOX TERRIER DOG, OUTSTANDING!

Description

Vintage bronze head study of a Smooth Fox Terrier or Jack Russell Terrier in bronze, cast using the lost wax method. This is actual bronze, NOT cold cast bronze. The bronze is mounted on a wood plinth, with the black paint showing some wear consistent with age and considerate handling, and the dog being in excellent vintage condition, with the beautiful patina only acquired with age. We cannot find a signature and have not removed the bronze from the base to see if it is underneath the mounting plate. The bronze dog measures 5 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" long by 3 3/4" wide. Overall size is 8 3/8" tall by 7" long by 3 3/4" wide. Please enlarge and examine all photos carefully as they are considered part of the description.
