ROMANTIC REGENCY vintage 1960s Long Sleeved BRIDAL COAT WEDDING OVER DRESS

Just Beautiful! Romantic vintage late 1950s / early 1960s long sleeved Bridal coat / over dress was created of a lightweight, ivory coloured matte satin (most likely a rayon blend) with sheer ivory side panels appliqued with lace. Very Bridgerton, the garment features long tailored sleeves with pointed cuffs & looped button closures, an open front cut (the coat is not designed to close) and a tapered floorlength design with a small rear train - all edged with lace. The garment has a lightweight lining as well wrist loop for holding up the train. A gorgeous vintage piece perfect for creating drama down the aisle and easily slipped off to dance the night away at the reception! MEASUREMENTS: Handmade by June (and June did a wonderful job!) ... Bust measures 40 inches (and therefore fits a size 32 - 36 bust best), the waist measures 48 inches and the hips are free. There is no stretch to the fabric. As always, remember to leave room for you when using these measurements to determine fit. The over dress is 57.5 inches in length with an additional 20 inches at the back. The sleeves are 24 inches long at their longest point. Shoulders - from seam to seam - measure 16.5 inches across. CONDITION: Very slight wear ... the garment has been in storage for decades and has slight surface dirt (clean underarms, etc - ) and would benefit from a drycleaning (which I leave entirely up to the lucky buyer) ... overall, excellent condition.
