The Canon 514XL-S Super8:
The compact workhorse of all Canon Super8. One of the latest models, sturdy, reliable, with all the essential functions, in a very small and lightweight package.
It has an excellent viewfinder for its size, better than the 310XL.
It needs 6 x AA R6 batteries, light meter included.
The sound version is larger, heavier, which has pros and cons. It also has a much quieter motor than the non-sound versions. The zoom mechanism is much more reliable than on the silent versions. It needs a cable release to use the 1 FPS mode.
