. This stand measures 5" in diameter and 6" in height, and
weighs in at 4 pounds
, plenty of weight to support most any robust vintage microphone. Beneath the outer metal shell is a
heavy iron core
, with a felt padded base to protect your desktop. The "Western Electric" brand is clearly embossed in the shell with the patent date of January 26, 1915! The threads are perfectly clear and the Umber Grey exterior
paint is in excellent shape
. Also, has an cable opening in the base in case you are able to secure the cord though the stem and out the base for a clean look.
